At Colors of Cape Town Lodge, we're all about making sure guests get a good night's sleep at a great price. When we opened our doors in the quiet, leafy oceanside suburb of Milnerton in 2011, we wanted to give travelers and holidaymakers an affordable place to stay outside of the fray of the bustling Cape Town city centre, but close enough to reach all the wonderful local attractions. We're just around the corner from some of the Mother City's most beautiful beaches, within 10km of the airport and CBD and within easy reach of the Cape Winelands, Table Mountain and the like. Our seven rooms come in all shapes and sizes, and you can overnight either on a self-catering or B&B basis, which is why we like to think of ourselves as operating somewhere in the space between a backpackers and guest house. We also cater for families and groups both big and small as well as those looking for long-stays. And as foreigners ourselves - we moved from The Netherlands in 2010 - we know how important it is to be at-home away from home, so we go out of our way to make it feel like family at Colors of Cape Town Lodge. I was not impressed with the rooms and kitchen. Bedding and towels was dirty. The kitchen had no spoons and dishes was very dirty. There were people that were very loud and said that they were furniture there as in they come every weekend or every second weekend. We did not enjoy our stay.

The building outside looks nice and clean but inside is out dated, the basic things that supposed to be in a room were not there, we had to ask all the time, old curtains, cracks on the cups yhoo you guys need to maintain your inside and cutlery and crockery.

There was a tap outside the room if you want water and the drain was block. I left the same day I arrived and ask for refund but yet a week later no one respond to my emails of phone calls. I pay R1500 for 2 days. The pool was green and very dirty .

I slept for an hour before a bunch of drunk people walked into the room and made so much noise that I had to vacate at 3am in the morning to drive to joberg. I will never ever stay here again. There is no staff at night, had to wait for someone for over 30mn to come open for me whilst my booking confirmed that I could check in until 23:30 and I was there 40mn earlier.

The curtain in the room was old, I wish they will change it. The kitchen utensils and the fridge must be changed. Overall it was OK. The staff were friendly - the security was good. My daughter enjoyed the free Wi-Fi.

This was a terrible holiday stay with my family around Cape Town ever. Firstly we arrived much earlier and the owner was not receptive at all. Secondly when we had to return at the given time which was after 16h00 were were told the accommodation was still occupied for the night of 26 December 2019. We were then stranded. We were then made to squat at another lodge as a family in one room while we had booked a two-roomed accommodation. The following morning when we went to the actual accomodation it was like a store room , not well cleaned. The floor tiles are a mess.I use Booking.com always but what we went through this time was a mess. Regards, Mckenzie Magagane

The place is beautiful. The toilets and showers were not cleaned. The kitchen fridge was dirty and smelly we had to clean it ourselves before putting in our stuff. And our TV didn't work :( The pool is nice

The marketing across the web is all false information! The manager is incredibly rude, and the rooms are TINY! There is nothing upmarket about it! They are never available and are not interested in your complaints. There is only ONE tap on the property with drinkable water. I can go on for days. DON'T stay here!
