Leshiba Wilderness is a private game reserve on top of the Soutpansberg Mountains with over 380 indigenous tree species and abundant animal and bird life. Walk amongst wildlife, along spectacular trails through forests, across plains, down breathtaking gorges with sparkling pools. Visit Bushmen caves with ancient rock art. Enjoy sundowner game drives and look out for giraffe, zebra, leopard and porcupines. Accommodation includes the extraordinary Venda Art Lodge created together with acclaimed local artist, Noria Mabasa and Hamasha Bush Camp remotely situated and nestled within a spectacular amphitheatre of high cliffs. Escape to your own private hideaway in two luxury suites with endless views across the valley and private plunge pools. Pure cotton linen, delicious baths, candlelight and solar lamps add to the romance. Malaria Free. Fair Trade accredited. An Unforgettable Experience!
While the trip up the Soutpansberg mountains to reach the Lodge was challenging, the experience upon arrival made it well worth while. The Lodge has been well designed to give the Venda village experience. The Lodge and the rooms are very well appointed with all the features one would expect plus a couple others such as plunge pools and an honesty bar (very well stocked!). The afternoon gane drive was very well done and we saw an impressive amount of wildlife. The evening meal was superb and the breakfast was delicious!! The satff were attentive and friendly but not pushy or obtrusive! This place is highly recommended for visitors who are looking for a South African bush experience!

Loved everything about our 2-night stay. The area is just so beautiful and the views from the room and restaurant area is magnificent. Highlight was the bushwalk with Jack to the Bushmen paintings and the amazing food. Lara is an exceptional cook and we experienced the best food from our month long trip in SA!

We were made to feel welcome and at home on top of this spectacular mountain range - luxury accommodation, good food, a hike to a rock art site and the immediacy of nature in this pristine mountain retreat. Never seen so many different tree species in one place (loved learning about their medicinal uses) and new birds were spotted (a first for me to see several sightings of the bedazzling Purple Crested Turaco!). Hope to be back.

Fabulous 3 night stay. Will definitely stay longer next time. Hamasha is excellently appointed with everything you could need. Amazing views, fabulous hikes and cold mountain stream swims. Birding was fabulous. Amazing service from the staff. Will definitely be back. Thanks for a great few days.

We spent 4 nights at Leshiba in the Farmhouse. It was extremely well equipped and comfortable for all the family. The food was excellent and all the staff made us so welcome. The walking and game drives were enjoyed by all the family. The sunrises over the mountains were very special. Would have no concerns about recommending Leshiba to anyone.

We booked high-end suit, and took high-end package, we were very disappointed, it seems like there are serious budget constrains that are disadvantaging the customer. Maybe self- catering option will be more valuable.

What a special treasure nestled in the Soutpansberg wildreness. Hamasha Camp is everything a family could wish for to get away from the city & enjoy the peace & tranquility of nature. Adventurous hiking in the day & star-studded nights around the fire make this a fabulous place to get away from it all. The camp is so well stocked with everything well thought out. We could have stayed for a month & will be back!
