We recently went on a 5 day safari with Nick S. serving as our driver and guide. Had an incredible experience! Nick was a top notch guide. Very personable and knowledgeable. Provided us with a good amount of information without being too much. Nick looked after us and made sure we were accommodated in every way. His lovely wife accompanied him on the safari and her presence added to the pleasant experience.
Nick served as our safari driver for two of the days. He has a very keen eye for wildlife spotting and provided exceptional commentary about what we saw. The other game drives were provided by the lodges in open-air vehicles and were equally as good. We were awed by the amount of wildlife we saw, often viewed up close. We were fortunate to see the Big 5 as well as a fascinating lion kill and a leopard hunting its prey during a night safari.
As for the safari accommodations, we spent a night in Sabie River lodge which was quite nice. A night in the rustic Skukuza lodge was mediocre but added to the “safari camp” experience. We then enjoyed a two night stay at the beautiful Mohlabetsi private lodge. This private lodge and game reserve are top notch.
As for Wildlife Safari agency personnel, they were all helpful and responsive when planning our safari. Jonathan was particularly helpful when I was selecting the itinerary.

I highly recommend Wildlife Safaris and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Fantastic 3 days tour! We saw many animals and we felt cared all times. without a doubt, I would recommend it. Our guide Barney was very experienced, and his explanations were really interesting.

Don't look any further when searching for a safari company. We had the BEST time! We have been to the Kruger before, but a guided tour was simply wonderful. Hoppy, our guide, took such good care of us, collecting us from Jo'burg and patiently driving us around for many hours. We saw so many animals at close quarters; the only elusive creature was a leopard. Hoppy identified 30+ birds for us as we drove around first in a minibus, then in an open sided safari vehicle. The huge lion on our last morning was a highlight. He cared for us like a parent, advising us, collecting us and showing us how to get the most out of our 3 days.
My husband initially aimed to do a self-drive tour, but even he is so glad we didn't. I can't recommend this company highly enough. Thank you guys.

The first night we stay in very basic lodging, but it was totally worth it for the night Safari. The next day we woke up early and Safaried most of the day and stayed at the cute sabi lodge. The following day we saw herds and herds of animals. I was in total awe.
Everything was amazing I think if I had done it again. I would have done 5 days just so I had one day to be at the lodge for the afternoon so I would watch the hippos leave the water for bed.
Our guide Simon was a great host. He went above and beyond for everything. He had great knowledge of the animals, but also gave a great history of the tribes and the people of Africa. I would request him if possible.

Choosing a safari company is almost as hard as choosing your safari itinerary. We wondered, "Which is best for our needs? Which would be most accommodating? Which is best value?" We had inquired several safari companies and I knew immediately Wildlife Safaris was the best in many aspects. It had the best customer service with the owner and her representatives contacting us immediately (also answering my abundant questions). Their itinerary was beyond what we asked for and had many options to choose from. This was all before the Safari experience... As for the safari, our guide Hoppy was professional, friendly and most of all passionate about his job, the conservation, the wildlife and his country. He had nothing but great input for any question. Most importantly, he had taught us about wildlife, his nation, the history and the culture about the country. It was more than just a safari tour. It was an overly exceptional experience with a great man and with phenomenal customer service. I respected Hoppy more and more as the days went by. I got to learn about the inception of the company, the hardships overcome and how Christine (the owner) is a great business woman that would let nothing stop her to continue a legacy she has started. I applaud this organization for their efforts. I have never felt more value for my hard earned money on a trip until this safari company. Great work all, you will be getting positive reviews and recommendations as much as we can say it. I will be sending everyone I know your direction.

We had used WS on the recommendation of our daughters who had traveled Kruger Park with Nik Duxberry previously. From the minute he collected us in Jo’burg to our accommodation in Sabie River park and Szukza and return to Tambo Int , he was the best guide and host . Very knowledgeable on our tours in Kruger and even though it was the rainy
Season he went out of his way to make sure we saw everything that we wished too . As we were lucky enough to be just the two of us on our tour it made it all the more memorable and special . He is the best asset for WS . If tour guides were ranked like UK football teams , he would be at the top of the Premier League!

We travelled as a trio and had the best experience ever.
From the booking until the safari itself everything went smoothly.
Barney our guide was highly knowledgeable, professional, patient, calm and kind. We couldn't have wished for a better guide. We saw the big four and many other animals. We had enough time to stop and take photos of all animals. The Sabie lodge was excellent and well chosen. We stayed three days and two nights in total. Thank you to the whole team and to Barney for this unforgettable experience 🥰

We knew we wanted to do a 5 day and from the start of planning several months before our trip and I could tell that Wildlife Safaris was going to be my choice from the first email response. Christine and Jonathan answered all of my questions in a timely manner and provided some comfort with detailed descriptions of how our travel would be with a kid and how the overall trip would unfold. I contacted four other operators and between delayed responses, poor descriptions of what it would be like for a 9 year old girl, and short quick unthoughtful responses, I decided to go with Wildlife Safaris. Best decision ever!
On day one we were picked up by our guide Hoppy right on time at our hotel in Sandton (I highly recommend the Hilton in Sandton). We immediately fell in love with Hoppy during the long drive to Kruger. He had an answer for every question along the way and was able to provide excellent conversation throughout. Anytime we needed to stop or were hungry he made it happen. The van was comfortable for the long drives and roomy. Throughout the five days we were able to spot the Big 5, the Ugly 5, but we missed out on the Small 5. Being just a few feet away from most of the animals was incredible!!!
We stayed at the Sabie River Bush Lodge, Skukuza, Mohlabetsi, and the Sabie River Sun Resort. No planning was required on our part. It was push button with all lodges ready to take us in upon arrival. All lodges were fantastic and the food was amazing. All of them had a full bar so we were never thirsty. Our favorite was the Sabie River Bush lodge . As soon as we got there we were greeted by a large bull elephant across the river and then swam in the pool on the side of the river sipping drinks while watching about a dozen hippos play and fight. Unreal experience!
I think the only issue we had was being tired from constantly being on the move. 4 lodges in 4 nights with a 9 year old were rough, then add in early mornings and late nights... It was exhausting but totally doable, you do get some time to nap in the afternoon but we always opted to hit up the pool for a swim after the morning rides. You can sleep when you get on the plane heading back home!!
One thing I was told when I was shopping around was to only book with an operator that does game drives that are in the Kruger or a private reserve that connects directly to the Kruger. There are many privates that border the Kruger but are separated from the main park with fences. This restricts the animals from truly roaming freely and have lots of dependency on humans to survive. When you go to the Kruger or a reserve that is attached with no fence you get a better chance of seeing truly wild animals that are living their life freely with extremely limited human interaction . Take this into consideration before you book as many other listings here go to these private “farms”. Also, you may experience very long drive times to get into these private reserves as opposed to being right up close with the animals from sunup to past sundown. In Mohlabetsi you are right in the middle of it with animals everywhere around you and only minutes before the game drives get very exciting.
If I could change one thing about the entire trip it would be to not do the Panorama Route. It was great to see the highlands with the viewpoints and waterfalls but for us we would have rather spent two nights in one spot with a slower paced day and additional game drives over a day in the car sightseeing. Just our personal preference and it would have helped with the kid catching up on some rest.
Lastly, we had one additional day in SA after the tour and Christine linked us up with Simon who gave us a full day tour of the Cradle and Sterkfontein Caves. He was an excellent guide and we learned so much about the surrounding area.
It was the greatest holiday we have ever been on and cannot recommend booking with Wildlife Safaris enough!!!

We had a wonderful family visit to the Kruger Park. Our guide Hoppi took care of everything and we could watch the big 5++ within our 3 days trip. The complete trip was perfectly organized and Hoppi put tremendous extra effort in it to make it an unforgettable vacation.

The tour planned by wildlife safaris in Kruger Park and Panorama route (4 days, 3 nights) was amazing, both accomodations were nice.
We especially want to mention our guide Simon T. for his professional knowledge; he did everything to let us see the big 5,lots of animals, trees and birds, of which he gave us all the information; he definitely made everything go smoothly.
